Woensdag maakte de Israëlische regering nieuwe maatregelen bekend die vanaf 18 augustus in kracht treden, o.a. coronacertificaten voor kinderen vanaf de leeftijd van drie jaar.
Op 29 juli werd de zgn. coronapas ingevoerd, die personen die volledig gevaccineerd of negatief getest werden, de toegang verleent tot bepaalde plaatsen. Woensdag werden de maatregelen uitgebreid op kinderen van 3 tot 12 jaar. De staat neemt de kosten voor tests op kinderen onder de 12 jaar op zich; voor kinderen ouder dan 12 moeten de ouders de tests zelf betalen.
De laatste weken noteerde men weer een stijging der besmettingen in Israël nadat de “nog” besmettelijkere Indische variante onder ongevaccineerden opdook… echter ook bij mensen die al meer dan een half jaar geleden ingeënt werden. In het laatste etmaal doken 5802 nieuwe gevallen op. Volgens de meest recente berichten telt Israël sinds het begin van de pandemie 918.237 infecties en 6.587 overlijdens.

Why should any government allow this substance being used until all necessary precautions have been taken? Furthermore, in the light of the emerging concern that the vaccinated can spread the disease (which CEO Bourla doesn’t deny), what is the meaning of the ‘green passport’?
